On November 10th 1969, the popular children’s program Sesame Street aired its first episode. 54 years later, Sesame Street is one of the longest-running shows in the world with over 4,500 episodes. The beloved series has won an impressive 222 Emmy Awards and remains a household staple for children’s television.
